An emotion borne of extreme resentment, grief, or regret that festers in the mind ? “Han(恨)”.
After a long period of waiting, the bold, yet heavy feeling of “Han(恨)” that has blossomed within VERIVERY has been reinterpreted into regret and obsession for what’s been lost or let go of.
[Lost and Found], which quite literally means that which has been lost and then found again, usually refers to a site of storage for lost items. The album thus contains VERIVERY’s hopes to reclaim everything that they’ve lost, while revealing the group’s compulsion and desperation to do so.
VERIVERY’s “Han(恨)” is visually encased in the jacket photo through the red-tinted, minimalist background reminiscent of a warning sign, alongside imagery that symbolize the theme of obsession as if the members were demanding to be the viewer’s sole subject of focus.
In contrast, the abandoned terminal’s paler tones show a more sorrowful, yet confident side of VERIVERY. Through these images, [Lost and Found] aims to visually emphasize the group’s will to stand back up despite all that they’ve lost over the years.
The music video to ‘Red (Beggin’)’ focuses on VERIVERY’s own [Lost and Found] by contrasting scenes of the past and present, with the past scenes representing the beautiful days of youth that have been lost to time while the present scenes show the harsh reality that the group newly faces. Despite it all, VERIVERY continues to move forward, with the music video culminating in the final scene of VERIVERY finding their way out through an elevator, symbolizing a new future that awaits VERIVERY.
VERIVERY’s “Han(恨)”, as well as the album [Lost and Found], is much like a flower. The reason to bloom may be lost along the way, and the road to blooming itself may be filled with dangers, but the flower does eventually bloom. Much like RED (Beggin’)’s lyrics of ‘Even if all’s forsaken we’ll survive’, VERIVERY will survive no matter what, and find what’s been lost in the end. ㄱ

몹시 원망스럽고 슬퍼 응어리진 마음 ? “한(恨)”.
긴 기다림의 시간으로 VERIVERY 안에 피어난 “한(恨)”이라는 볼드하고도 무거운 감정을 그동안 잃어버린, 놓쳐버린 것에 대한 안타까움과 집착으로 재해석한다.
[Lost and Found]는 “잃어버리고 찾은”으로 직역이 되지만, 통상적으로는 “분실물 보관소”의 의미로 사용된다. VERIVERY가 그동안 분실했던 것을 되찾겠다는 뜻이 담긴 이번 앨범에서는 되찾음에 대한 집착과 간절함이 극명하게 드러난다.

VERIVERY의 “한(恨)”은 자켓포토에서 마치 경고장 같은 강렬한 붉은 톤의 미니멀한 배경에서, 자신만을 바라보라는 듯한 집착적인 메시지를 은유적으로 표현한 이미지로 담아낸다.
또한, 이와 상반되게 폐허가 된 터미널에서는 페일한 톤에 어딘가 처연하면서도 상반되게 당당한 VERIVERY의 모습을 드러낸다. 그동안 이들이 겪어왔던 상실과, 그럼에도 다시 딛고 일어서겠다는 의지를 시각화하여 [Lost and Found]를 강조한다.

‘RED (Beggin’)’의 뮤직비디오에서는 과거와 현재의 장면들이 오가며 잃어버린 아름다웠던 청춘의 모습과, 새롭게 마주하게 된 황량한 현실이라는 대비를 통해 VERIVERY만의 [Lost and Found]를 보여준다. 그럼에도 포기하지 않고 앞으로 나아가는 장면들과 탈출구 같은 엘리베이터에 탑승하는 마무리를 통해 앞으로 넘어갈 미지의 미래가 VERIVERY를 기다리고 있음을 은유적으로 보여준다.

VERIVERY의 “한(恨)”과 [Lost and Found]는 꽃과도 같다. 꽃을 피워내야 하는 이유도 불분명해지고, 피워내기까지의 여정에서 겪는 위험도 있으나, 결국은 피워낸다는 종착지로 도달하게 된다. RED (Beggin’)의 가사 ‘다 져버린다 해도 we’ll survive’처럼, VERIVERY는 무슨 일이 있어도 결국 살아남고, 잃어버린 것들을 되찾을 것이다.
